How to play
Three players, 36 cards (the 6 up to the Ace of each suit). Each hand you get 12 cards and secretly LAY AWAY three of them — those discards ARE your bid: every laid-away club promises 3 tricks, every heart 2, every spade 1, and a diamond 0, so the bid runs 0–9.
The other 9 cards then play 9 tricks: follow the led suit if you can; the highest trump wins, otherwise the highest card of the led suit.
Trump rotates by hand — clubs, hearts, spades, diamonds, then no-trump — a fixed rotation (a house rule replacing Parlett's previous-hand-based rule). Score 1 point per trick, plus a 10-point bonus for taking EXACTLY your bid.
The bids stay hidden until the hand ends, then everything is revealed. Nine hands; the highest total wins.
