Jambolaya uses the third-party word lists, fonts, music, sounds, photos and software libraries listed here: the app for Android and iOS, and the browser edition on this site. Each entry names who made it and the licence it is used under; the licence notices themselves follow, in English. The app shows the same list under Menu → About → Open-source licences.

Spoken letters and words

Letters and words in the reading games are spoken by the device's own text-to-speech engine at play time (Android TextToSpeech, Apple AVSpeechSynthesizer, Windows Speech Synthesis, the browser's speechSynthesis). No recorded voice is bundled with the app.

Word list source files

Jambolaya's Word Grid accepts every word form of a language's dictionary. For French and Spanish, those word forms are derived from dictionaries licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. As that licence requires, the word lists the app ships are available here in source form: plain text, one word per line.

French

wordgrid_fr.txt. Derived from the French hunspell dictionary "fr" (Dictionnaire orthographique français "classique" v7.7, Olivier R. / Grammalecte), distributed with LibreOffice.

Spanish

wordgrid_es.txt. Derived from the Spanish hunspell dictionary "es_ES" (Santiago Bosio / RLA-ES project), distributed with LibreOffice. It is offered under GPL 3 or later, LGPL 3 or later, or MPL 1.1 or later; Jambolaya uses it under MPL 2.0.
